I am so sorry to hear about your father. I hate that I missed the service. I hope that you find comfort in knowing that he is with your mom in heaven right now! He was always so welcoming to me when we were in college. Jenny-Maybe I can see you when you come back in a few weeks. Love & Prayers!

Services for Eddie J. Saylors, 67, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2009, at St. Mark United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. The Rev. Danny Niedecken will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jack Browder, Paul Swartz, Red Speaker, Rick Horton, Don Hughes, Jimmy Campbell, Bob Childress, and Peter Harty. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Poker Group, Wesley Sunday School Class, Lowell “Stretch” Smith, Jr., George Marti, Robert Sparks, Dr. Steve Johnson, and Bill Parker. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2009, at Rosser Funeral Home.
Eddie passed away on Friday, June 05, 2009, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born Feb. 18, 1942, in Milford, Texas to Felix Saylors and Imanette Schrader Saylors. Eddie served his country in the United States Army. Eddie touched many lives in his 67 years. Anyone who knew him will remember his generosity and compassion toward his family, friends, co workers, and the entire community. He will be greatly missed. He was a banker for 49 years and a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. Eddie served as past president of the Rotary Club, Kiwanis Club, Chamber of Commerce, and Cleburne Soccer Association. He was very active in his church where he was a Sunday school teacher. Eddie was a member of the Rotary Club for over 35 years and was a past Cleburne Citizen of the Year.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Suzanne Scott Saylors; and brother, Felix Ray Saylors.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Jackie Saylors of Cleburne; son, Todd Saylors of Cleburne; daughters, Jennifer Diaz and husband Augie of Fowler, California, and Shelby Curl and husband Jason of Frost; step-sons, Jason Hutchinson and wife Karla of Joshua, Jamie Hutchinson of Georgetown, and Joey Hutchinson and wife Karla of Tyler; sister, Patricia Jones and husband Jack of Terrell; and grandchildren, Victoria and A.J. Saylors, Chase and Taylor Diaz, Caleb, Madison and Cooper Curl; and six step-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church Breadbasket at 1109 W. Henderson St., Cleburne, Texas or the American Lung Association.
