Dr. Victor Banzon Abello, 79, of Fort Worth, Texas, formerly of Cleburne, passed away Monday, September 21, 2020 in Fort Worth.
He was born April 12, 1941 in Balanga, Bataan, in the Philippines to his loving parents, Tomas Padilla Abello, Ph.D., and Concepcion Banzon Abello.
Dr. Abello attended the University of the Philippines for both his undergraduate degree and medical degree.
He completed his residency in Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma and did a Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine, in Infectious Diseases.
Dr. Abello was a beloved pediatrician in Cleburne for almost 40 years, and honorably served in the United States Air Force Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Dr. Abello is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Elenette; daughter, Geraldine Abello Williams, of Fort Worth; son, Thomas Victor "Tovi" Abello and daughter-in-law, Kelley Robinson-Abello, of Folsom, California; grandchildren, Jackson, Nina, Will, Luke, Andrew, and Grace; niece and nephew, Drs. Mae and Anthony Lee, of Fort Worth; sisters, Grace Consunji, Amelia Anastacio, and Teresita Ortiguera, all of Balanga, Bataan, Philippines; brother, Dr. Fortunato Abello, of San Antonio, Texas; and countless other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
