Obituary for Harvey Quinten Adams
Funeral services for Harvey Quinten Adams, 87, of Alvarado, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2016 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenacres Memorial Park.
There is no visitation scheduled.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Holcomb, Rodney Bradshaw, Matthew Holcomb, Walter Dent, Ron Long and Marty Olson.
Honorary pallbearers will be his golf group.
Mr. Adams passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born in Fort Worth on October 9, 1928.
Harvey proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps (1st Marine Division, 2nd Battalion) during World War II and the Korean War.
He married Joan Lanier on August 26, 1963 in Lordsburg, New Mexico. Harvey was retired from Johnson County Electric Coop and was a member of the American Legion and VFW.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Kathy Ray.
Harvey is survived by his wife, Joan Adams of Alvarado; sons, Ronald Long of Mooringsport, Louisiana and Donald Adams of Alvarado; daughters, Bernice Holcomb of Wichita Falls, Texas, Helen Rash and husband, Richard, of Cave Creek, Arizona, and Doreen Adams, also of Wichita Falls; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
