Obituary for
James Adcock
Funeral services for James Adcock, 76 of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015. The Rev. Armo Bentley will officiate. Masonic graveside services will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado, Texas.
The family will receive visitors from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 2015 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Roger Trussell, John Rollen, John D. Johnson, Joshua Rhodes, William Gerwick and Dustin Rhodes. Honorary pallbearers are Delphus Runnels and Howard Goad.
Mr. Adcock passed away Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born in Rio Vista, Texas on July 7, 1939, the son of Ruth (Souther) and James Louis Adcock.
Mr. Adcock was retired, having been the owner of Texan Battery. He was a member of the Johnson County Umpire Association and was a 32nd Degree Fort Worth Scottish Rite and Nolands River Masonic Lodge#453. Mr. Adcock was also a member of Bono Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Linda Kay Adcock.
Mr. Adcock is survived by his daughters, Debbie Gerwick and husband, Bob, of Bedford, Texas, Cindy Rhodes and partner, Patsy Berry, of Cleburne and Kristi Jenkins and husband, Cliff, of Cleburne; sister, Norma Luciani of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, William Gerwick, Josh Rhodes and wife, Robyn, Dustin Rhodes and Chris Jenkins; great grandchildren, Samuel and Marley Rhodes.
