Graveside services for Lake Olen Alexander, Jr., 69, of Godley, Texas, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2021 in the Godley Cemetery. (Family and friends are welcome; please be considerate and wear masks.) Pastor B.J. Sharp will officiate.
Lake went to be with the Lord Thursday, January 7, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born March 10, 1951 to Lake Olen Alexander, Sr. and Patsy Lou (Cheshier) Alexander. Lake grew up in Fort Worth and graduated from R.L. Paschal High School. He was a retired lineman from TXU after 36 years of service. He loved motorcycles and was one of the founding members of Iron Faith Chapter of HonorBound Motorcycle Ministry of Weatherford, Texas. After retirement, he enjoyed working as a Student Delivery Specialist for Godley ISD and spending time with his grandchildren.
Lake married Renae Applegate on November 29, 1996.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Renae Applegate Alexander of Godley; son, James and wife Kari, of Cleburne; daughter, Shannon and husband, Nation, of Cleburne; son, John Paul and wife Cameron, of Burleson; son Danny and wife Jessica, of Godley; and sister Patti and husband, Leonard Kremers of Arkansas.
He was especially proud of his grandchildren: Bryant, Brandon, Blake, Becca, Erika, Alexis, Taylor, Mason, Brazos, Liberty and Cole, and great grandchildren Maddox, Meredith and Jason.
He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, brothers- and sisters- in- law and a host of relatives and close friends.
