Funeral services for Alice Lorraine McNeely, 76, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2024 at Nolan River Road Baptist Church. The Reverends Adam Mathews and Larry York will officiate. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Austin McNeely, Trey Russek, Keith Hester, Alan Ray, Ron Russek, Chance Green, Kenneth Fuller, and Alex Charlow with Gatlyn Hardin and Antonio Cardona serving as honorary pallbearers.
Alice McNeely passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024 in Cleburne. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on September 12, 1947, the daughter of Mary (Wells) and Lloyd Davis.
She graduated from Tivy High School in Kerville, Texas and then attended Texas Women's University where she was a member of the basketball team. While raising her children, Alice was a member of the CISD PTA and also the Golden Pride Band boosters. She worked as the deli manager at Walmart. A member of Nolan River Road Baptist Church, she was the Sunday School teacher of the Hope Class.
Alice married John F. McNeely, Jr on December 16, 1968. He preceded her in death in 2000. She is also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tracy Russek; great grandson, Jaxon Hooser; brothers, Lloyd Davis, Leroy Davis, and John Michael Davis; and sister, Carolyn Agold.
Alice is survived by her daughters, Donna Browning, Kristi Ray and husband, Alan, and Julie Hester and husband Keith; son-in-law, Ron Russek; grandchildren, Alexa, Austin, Mariah, Amanda, Trey, Isabelle, Ashley, Jessica, Texas, Lauren, Neally, and Sydney; 21 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and other family members and friends.
