Funeral services for Dr. Charles G. Allen, MD, 88, of Keene, Texas will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012 at the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church with pastors Mic Thurber and Phil Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Keene Memorial Park Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jay Allen, Chad Allen, James Sandefur, Justin Hawker, Bob Sandefur and Richard Thompson
The family will receive visitors from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2012 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Dr. Allen passed away on Monday, July 30, 2012 at his home. He was born in Denison, Texas on August 9, 1923, the son of Minnie (Church) and Charlie Guy Allen.
Charles served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He married Cordelia Williamson on September 30, 1945 in Keene, Texas.
Charles is survived by his wife, Cordelia Allen of Keene; sons, Dr. Larry Allen and wife, Marie of Mesa, Ariz. And Dr. Jack Allen and wife, Janet, of Burleson, Texas; grandchildren, Jay Allen and wife, Tiffany, Chad Allen and wife, Kami, Krista Adams, and Trisha Hawker and husband, Justin; and sister, Verna Allen of Denison.
