Keene—Funeral services for Ivan Earl Allen, 69, of Keene, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2011 at the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church in Keene, Texas. Elder Steve Gifford will officiate. Burial will follow in Keene Memorial Park Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 4 - 6 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Rosser Funeral Home in Cleburne, Texas.
Mr. Allen passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2011 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born in Houston, Texas on November 25, 1941, to Alice Lucia (Prentice) and Lloyd Allen.
Ivan married Margaret Rose Kennedy in 1963 in Keene. He was owner of Keene Sanitation Company and was a member of Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and former wife, Margaret.
Ivan is survived by his sons, Brian Allen and wife, Veronica, of Tenn., Steve Gibbs and wife, Alicia, of Riverside, Calif., and Mark Gibbs and wife, Cindy, of San Bernadino, Calif.; daughter, Bonnie Allen-Pieron of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, Ben, Bethany, Luciano, Giovanni, Adrianna, Pascal, and Langston.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the North Dallas Adventist Academy, 302 Centennial Blvd, Richardson, Texas 75081.
