Mary Allen

Mary Lee Allen, 91, of Cleburne, Texas passed away peacefully on March 15, 2015. A graveside service will be held at 3 pm Monday, March 23, 2015 at Rosehill Cemetery. There is no visitation scheduled.

Mary Lee was born on September 11, 1923 in Arizona to Linnie Ford King and Charles P. King. The family settled in Cleburne, TX shortly after her birth. Mary Lee worked for many years at the Johnson County Electric Cooperative. She was a longtime member of the Granbury Street Church of Christ.

Mary Lee was preceded in death by her husbands, Dalton E. Cumbie, Charles (Chuck) Fenn, and Edwin D. Allen; her brothers, Charles R. and H. Harold King; and stepdaughter, Bonnie Allen Stewart.

She is survived by niece, Tracye King Albone and husband, David; sister-in-law, Charlene King and husband, Jim Rakes; stepson, Don Allen and wife, Fiona; stepdaughter, Linda Graves and husband, Burl; son-in-law, John (Toby) Stewart; grandchildren, Jay Stewart, John Stewart, Trent Graves, Teri Graves Ducote, Meredith Allen Abbott, Mark Allen and Elizabeth Allen; and six great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff of the Wren Place and to her many friends at the Granbury Street Church of Christ who were so devoted to her.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude's Children’s Hospital, the Granbury Street Church of Christ, or the Shelby County (Texas) Historical Society.
