Private family graveside service for Luz Alva Arauzo, 93, of Keene, Texas will be conducted on Friday, September 17, 2021 in the Keene Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Luz Alva Arauzo passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021 in Fort Worth. She was born April 9, 1928 in Lima, Peru to Maria Jesus (Leon) and Augustin Alva.
Ms. Arauzo was a professor at the Southwestern Adventist University. She was a loving, kind, caring lady who loved the Lord. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Keene. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Arturo Arauzo; parents; brother, James Alva; and brother-in-law, Adalberto Alarcon.
Survivors include her daughters, Lyris Barroso and husband, David and their children, Kristina and Mark Burrell, David Barroso and Lacey Barroso of Blanchard, Michigan and Nilsa Johnson and husband, Mitchell of Keene and their children, Lance and Jenn Johnson and Tyler Johnson; brother, Dr. Art Arauzo and wife, Dorene and their children, Alektra, Avalon, and Adonis Arauzo of Plano; sisters, Flora Ocampo and husband, Edurado of Loma Linda, California, Dr. Verna Alva of Lima, Peru and Hulda Alarcon of Hinsdale, Illinois; and many other relatives and friends.
