Lorimer Arendse

Services for Lorimer Arendse, 45, of Cleburne, Texas, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017 at Gateway Church, 2404 North Carrier Parkway, Grand Prairie, Texas. Private family burial will follow. Pastor Joe Troutman and Pastor Matt Figura will officiate. The family will receive visitors Tuesday, 6 to 8 p.m., at Gateway Church in Grand Prairie.
Lorimer went to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, in Grapevine, Texas. He was born June 26, 1972, in Cape Town, South Africa to Katherine (Brynard) and Leon Arendse. He married Jeanelle Cary on Dec. 28, 1996, in LaVerne, California. Lorimer was the principal at Grand Prairie High School.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanelle Arendse of Cleburne; son, David Arendse of Cleburne; daughters, Hope, Sarah and Kathryn Arendse all of Cleburne; parents, Leon and Katherine Arendse of Hurst; brothers, Alwin Arendse and wife, Mellissa, of Colleyville, Alistaire Arendse of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; sisters, Leoni Michael and husband, Jeff, of Hurst, Candice Hannah and husband, Brandon, of Worthington, Ohio; and numerous other family members and friends.
