Burgess M. Armstrong
Graveside services for Burgess M. Armstrong, 88, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Rosehill Cemetery with the Rev. Eddie Freeman officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Gary, Roger, Roy, Wesley, Blake and Carson Armstrong.
Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Burgess passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at his home. He was born in Everman, Texas on February 15, 1927, the son of Edna (Burgess) and James Clyde Armstrong.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War era.
Burgess married Anne Duncan on September 2, 2001 in Cleburne.
He was an x-ray technologist for 33 years, working at Cleburne Memorial and then Walls Hospital. His true calling was farming and ranching, which he enjoyed and loved his entire life. Burgess was a member of Henderson Street Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Juanita Armstrong; and brothers, J.C. and Robert Armstrong.
Burgess Armstrong is survived by his wife, Anne Armstrong of Cleburne; sons, Gary Armstrong and wife, Jamie, of Grapevine, Texas, Roger Armstrong and wife, Melody, of Cleburne, and Roy Armstrong and wife, Dana, of North Richland Hills, Texas; and grandchildren, Brigid, Kelsey, Blake, Wesley and Carson Armstrong.
