Obituary for Ellen Elizabeth Armstrong (Sadau)

Alvarado, TX—Funeral services for Ellen E. Armstrong, 91, of Alvarado, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 8, 2011 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in Keene Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Drew Fout, Skip Munger, Matthew Armstrong, Dillon Armstrong, Kevin Armstrong, and Jerry Mayer.
Mrs. Armstrong passed away on Monday, September 5, 2011 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born in Olney, Texas on April 30, 1920 to Martha Anna Marie (Nulisch) and Julius Sadau. She married Eddie L. Armstrong on August 26, 1938 in Graham, Texas. Mrs. Armstrong was a member of the Joshua Seventh-day Adventist Church and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; daughter, Connie Sue Mayer; sons, Eddie Carl Armstrong and Kenneth Lee Armstrong; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Mrs. Armstrong is survived by her sons, Jim L. Armstrong and wife, Gloria, of Avon Park, Fla., Don L. Armstrong and wife, Mavis, of Alvarado, and Ronald B. Armstrong and wife, Lynn, of Maryville, Tenn.; sister, Lydia Flynn of San Angelo; 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
