Aryla Kae Swanson

A funeral service for Aryla Kae Swanson, 86, of Keene, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 1, 2022 in the V.O. Schneider Memorial Chapel with Reverend Terry Darnall officiating. Burial will follow in Keene Memorial Park.

Visitation for family and friends will be held in the V.O. Schneider Memorial Chapel from 1:00-2:00 P.M., Tuesday, prior to the service.

Aryla Kae Swanson passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022 in Keene. She was born June 15, 1936 in Shafter, California to Anne (Heinle) and Albert Unruh.

Aryla earned a Bachelor of Science degree and was a teacher for a number of years before becoming a nursing home administrator. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Keene. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold Swanson; twin sister Alberta Ann Burnell and her husband, Kenneth Burnell; and niece, Stacy Wiggins.

Survivors include her brother, Dennis Unruh and wife, LaJune of Fargo, North Dakota; niece, Chawntae Unruh Applegate and husband, Ryan; nephew, Arlin Unruh; two great nieces, Morgan Applegate and Riley Applegate; and great nephews, Garret Applegate and Nicholas Wiggins.
