Visitation for Merial Edwin Bachhofer, 70, of Cleburne, Texas will be held 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Merial passed away on Friday, March 15, 2013 in Cleburne, Texas. He was born May 22, 1942 to Edward Christopher Bachhofer and Oleta Collins Bachhofer. He married Sandra Birchfield on Sept. 29, 1962 in Cleburne, Texas. Merial served his country in the United States Army. He was of Church of Christ faith and retired from being a commercial butcher. Merial loved life and had a very positive outlook. He could accomplish anything to put his mind to. He loved his family and was a constant encouragement to them. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wayland Bachhofer; and sister, Cheri Gregor.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Bachhofer of Cleburne; sons, Jeff Bachhofer and wife Pam of Godley, Chris Bachhofer and wife Cathy of Tolar, Britt Bachhofer of Kopperl, Marty Bachhofer of Brazos Point, Scott Bachhofer and wife Heather of Kopperl; daughter, Rhonda Day and husband Jeff of Cleburne; brothers, Melvin Bachhofer and wife Paula of Merkel, Jimmie Bachhofer and wife Blondie of Kopperl; and 12 grandchildren.
