Betty Jane Ford Ballard, age 93, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend died Friday, May 22, in Fort Worth.

Betty was born to O.S. and Lynette Ford on October 15, 1926 in Birmingham, AL She married Reginald B. Ballard on August 5, 1950 and they were married for 55 years. Betty graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1943. She received her RN degree from Harris School of Nursing-TCU in 1951. In 1958 the family moved from Fort Worth to Keene where she resided until her death. She was a member of the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, R.B. Ballard, her parents, O.S. and Lynette Ford; her son, Dr. Ron Ballard, and her sister, Margie Ford Pound.
Survivors: Daughters, Lynn Sonsel of Fort Worth and Kathy Hanchey of Keene; grandchildren, Devon Bass (Nicole) of Frisco, Eric Seamount (Stacey) of Celina, Erin Mitcham (Doug) of Fort Worth, Linley Walker (Blake) of Fort Worth, Ryan Hanchey (Grace) of Dallas, and Kristin Wall (trey) of Fort Worth; great grandchildren, Kylie, Luke, and Wesley Mitcham, Austin and Casey Bass, Kinley and Faith Walker, Alek Seamount, Theo Hanchey, and Gage and Reagan Wall.
