Obituary for Zoila Luz Barroso (Ramirez)
Funeral services for Zoila Luz Barroso, 82, of Keene, Texas will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, October 8, 2017 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Winegardner officiating. Burial will follow in Keene Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Barroso passed away the morning of Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in Burleson, Texas. She was born in Monterrey, Mexico on January 19, 1935, the daughter of Esther (Garza) and Pedro Ramirez.
Zoila married Juan M. Barroso on April 2, 1953 in Monterrey. She lived in Keene, Texas since 1959 and worked as an LVN at the Johnson County Memorial Hospital and later at Town Hall Estates.
Zoila was a lifelong member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and attended the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church.
She was preceded in death by parents; and husband, Juan Manuel Barroso.
Zoila is survived by her sons, John E Barroso and wife, Tami, of Keene and David R. Barroso and wife, Lyris, of Blanchard, Michigan; daughter, Laura Rudisaile and husband, Lee, of Keene; brother, Sergio Ramirez and wife, Amalia, of El Paso, Texas; sisters, Imelda Gillespie of Moore, Oklahoma and Elizabeth Aldava of Keene; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
