Betty Basye

Services for Betty Jane Basye, 83, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. The Rev. John Glover will officiate. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Betty went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 8, 2015 in Cleburne, Texas. She was born Dec. 15, 1931 in Blum, Texas to Mamie (Upchurch) and J.W. Holt. Betty retired from Johns-Manville Corporation where she worked as an executive assistant. She was the first woman in Johnson County to receive her pilot’s license. She loved to dance and make people laugh. Betty loved her Lord and Savior, her family, and her friends. She was a member of Field Street Baptist Church. Betty will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Claude Thomas Basye; son, Thomas Dale Basye; and numerous brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her grandson, Shannon Basye and wife, Kat, of Azle; great-grandchildren, Madison and Caelyn Basye of Azle; sister, Elsie Mae Hill and husband, Glen, of Blum; special friend, Norvel Hudson of Cleburne; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
