Bobbie Dell Bates, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2020, at the age of 75, in Morgan, Texas.
INTERMENT: Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 15, 2020, at Green Acres Memorial Park in Cleburne, Texas. Rev. Kenny Rigoulot, of United Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Visitation for family and friends will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, May 14, 2020, at Rosser Funeral Home in Cleburne, Texas.
Bobbie Dell Bates was born on May 14, 1944, in Cleburne, Texas, to Ruby Jewel (Key) and Robert Lee Bates of Cleburne, Texas. She graduated from Rio Vista High School in 1962 and was named Coming Home Queen in 1970; she also attended college in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, to play basketball. Bobbie was a hard worker and particularly enjoyed working as a Human Resources Director for the Texas Workforce Commission, training senior citizens to re-enter the workforce. She loved spending time in the sunshine and fishing, being with family and friends, and was of the Christian faith.
SURVIVORS: Cody Foree and wife, Shawna, of Cleburne, Texas; daughter, Megan Goor-Peters and husband, Keith, of Crowley, Texas; grandchildren, Alyssa, Carolyn, Kaitlyn, Connery, and Zachery; sister, Sara Beth Weadon and husband, Robert, of Cleburne, Texas; brother, Rudy Bates and wife Carolee Holcomb-Bates, of Granbury, Texas; and several other relatives and friends.
