Roy R. Bellville
Roy R Bellville went to be with the Lord and his beloved wife on March 8, 2012.
Funeral services for Mr. Bellville, 93, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2012 at Cleburne Bible Church with Dr. David denHartog officiating.
Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2 – 4 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Roger Harts, Guy Smith, Joe Quinn, Alton Flynn, Joe Browder and Mark McPherson.
Mr. Bellville was born in Dallas, Texas on January 26, 1919, the son of Mary Esther (Weeman) and George Robertson Bellville.
He received a degree from Texas Tech University in Agriculture which determined his career path. Roy served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He married Evelyn Gregory on April 30, 1948 in Cleburne. Roy’s career in agriculture took him to many places of employment through the years including putting in a farm system for the king of Arabia, building and managing milk and dairy plants in Muenster, Sulphur Springs, and Ft. Worth and also David’s Dairy in Johnson County. He also managed the maintenance in the Campbell Soup plant in Paris before his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn Gregory Bellville; and brother, George Bellville.
Roy Bellville is survived by his daughter, Ronda Drake and husband, Bobby, of Hobbs, New Mexico; sister Esther Matlack of Cleburne, grandchildren, Justin Hathcox, Amanda Hathcox, and Kara and Keith Hilsabeck; great grandchildren, Gregory and Miko Hilsabeck; and numerous nieces and nephews who were influenced by his strong character.
