Betty Millsap

Graveside services for Betty Sue Millsap, 84, of Rio Vista, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2023 in the Rio Vista Cemetery with Pastor Jacky Mears officiating. 

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Rosser Funeral Home.

Betty passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023 in Keene, Texas.  She was born in Cleburne on June 4, 1938, the daughter of Abbie Lee (Dobbs) and James Arthur Shafer.  She married Bobby Joe Millsap on May 4, 1957, celebrating 64 years of marriage before his death in June of 2021.

Betty was a homemaker and she opened her home to her family, friends, and her children’s friends.   She was of the Baptist faith.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby Joe Millsap; son, Larry Millsap; brother, Bobby Shafer; and sister, Linda Shafer.

She is survived by her son, Mike Millsap and wife, Vikki, of Cleburne; daughters, Donna Millsap of Crowley and Susie Stevens and husband, Ken, of Cleburne; daughter-in-law, Pam Millsap of Rio Vista; grandchildren, Brooklyn Graves, Jason Amis, Lindsey Maness, Hannah Yeager, and Justin Malcik; great granddaughters, Sloane and Reese Maness; niece, Michelle Shafer; nephew, Todd Shafer; and a host of other family members and friends.
