Charles E. Biles
Charles Earnest Biles passed away in Sherman Oaks, Calif. on Wednesday, Jan 27, 2016. Charles will be greatly missed by his brothers, Don and David Biles of the Houston, Texas area, as well as their families; Aunt Phoebe (Biles) Browning of Alabama; children, Richard Devost and wife, Katie, David Devost and wife, Raquel, Michele Devost, Daniel Parrish and Christine Falco and husband, Devon; grandchildren, Gary Barnett, Alisha Baker and husband, Geoff, Matthew Ditta, Caleb Devost, Christina Muehlberger, Anna-Sophia and Genevieve Falco; great grandchildren, River, Faith, Suzanna and Keinen; as well as nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Ellie Louise (Alexander) Biles and step-father James F. Biles; wife, Frances, in 1990 as well as their five children; and his “sweetheart” and wife, Suzanne in July 2009.
Charles was born in Alabama on Oct. 24, 1929, residing in Texas for most of his life.
Charles was a member of the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church before moving to California where he was a member of the Van Nuys Seventh-day Adventist Church. Charles will be remembered for his tender heart, generous acts of service and bright warm smile.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Friday, February 5, 2016 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held in the chapel before the service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be immediately following the service at the Keene Cemetery.
