Graveside services for Bill Arnold, 89, of Cleburne, Texas, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2024, in Cleburne Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Joyce McCormick officiating. 

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Hight, Lonnie Holliday, Joe Browder, Jimmy Browder, Colton Workman, Will House, and Cyprian Martinez.

Bill passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at their farm. A lifelong resident in the old Midway Community in Cleburne, Bill was born on January 21, 1935, the son of Nina (Boyd) and Albert Lee Arnold. He married Sandra Kouns on February 27, 1960, in Cleburne.

Bill graduated from Baylor University where he played football under his uncle, Coach Sam Boyd.

Bill was a retired industrial relations director and business owner, having worked for Rangaire Manufacturing and Aztec Manufacturing. He also worked in the homebuilding industry.

Bill’s father started the company A&A Legband in 1964. Bill joined his father in the business, working there for over 60 years.

Bill was an active member of the community having served on the CISD school board and the Chamber of Commerce Board. He was also an active member of his church, St. Mark United Methodist Church.

Bill also enjoyed raising horses, being a cowboy, and was a proud member of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Posse.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Sandra Kouns Arnold; daughters, Allyson House and husband, Tim, and Lynn Workman; grandchildren, Taylor Dominguez, Hayley Shotts, Colton Workman, Will House, and Cary Workman; great grandchildren, Drew, Dax and Demi Dominguez and Elizabeth Shotts; close friend, Cyprian Martinez; and other family members and friends.

Memorials may be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church, 1109 W. Henderson Street, Cleburne, Texas 76033.
