Bob "B.L." Whitlock

Funeral services for Bob "B.L." Whitlock, 94, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 27, 2024 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kevin Bentley and Pastor Zane Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Caddo Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, April 26, at Rosser Funeral Home.

Bob "B.L." Whitlock passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 in Cleburne. He was born October 8, 1929 in Joshua to Alma (Hiner) and Guy D. Whitlock.

Bob married his sweetheart, Bobbye Wise on September 10, 1949, they were married for 68 years. He was a retired electrician for the Santa Fe Railroad. Bob was an avid outdoorsman that loved to hunt and fish. He taught generations of children so much about life and how to fish. Affectionately known as Papa, he adored his family and enjoyed visits on the back porch with a Dr. Pepper in hand. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bobbye; two sisters, Peggy Owens and Ginny Smith; and son-in-law, Tim Cox.

Survivors include his son, Tim Whitlock and wife, Elizabeth of Cleburne; daughters, Susan Anderson and husband, Doug of Cleburne and Pam Cox of Crowley; grandchildren, Grant Lane and wife, Rachel, Jennifer Whitlock, Brian Cox and wife, Ashley, Justin Cox and wife, Anna, Jeremy Cox and wife, Kristy, Melissa Thompson and husband, Derek, and Mary Whitlock; 23 great grandchildren; sisters, Ann Malone of Joshua and Sondra Watson of Granbury.

The family would like to thank Papa's amazing home care team, Enhabit Home Health & Hospice, and Caring Senior Services.
