Life Story for
Jessie Lee Borg (Noel)
Jessie Lee (Noel) Borg was born on July 11, 1937 in San Antonio, TX to Walter and Verda Lee (Meadows) Noel. She had 2 older siblings; brother, Duane and sister, Jeanine. When she was 11 the family moved to Pampa, TX. She studied elementary education at Southwestern Junior College in Keene, TX and Union College in Lincoln, NE.
In 1956 Jesse moved to El Paso, TX to teach elementary School at the Adventist school. While attending church there she met Junior Borg, from Minnesota, who was stationed at the William Beaumont Army Hospital on the Ft Bliss Army Base. They were married on August 17, 1958, in Pampa, TX. They were married for 58 years.
They lived in Pampa until 1963. While in Pampa they were blessed with 2 children. Joel was born on Father’s Day in 1959, and Jeanne was born 10 days after Junior’s 27th birthday.
The family lived in Corrales, NM from 1963 to 1966, when they moved to Hutchinson, MN. While there Jessie enjoyed teaching ceramics, substitute teaching at the Adventist elementary school, and helping in the children’s departments at church. Almost 12 years later the family moved to Keene, TX. Jessie and Junior have lived in the Keene and Cleburne area ever since.
They were blessed with 3 grandchildren, Seth Rorick and Anthony and Natasha Borg.
Jessie spent most of her adult life involved in children’s departments at church, teaching, playing the piano and otherwise helping out with church programs.
Jessie loved to read and play the piano.
Jessie and Junior opened their home to many people who needed a place to stay or a hand up.
On Monday, November 28, 2016, at age 79, she passed away. She will be truly missed.
Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Verda Lee (Meadows) Noel; Brother Duane and Sister Jeanine.
