Funeral services for Charles M. Bowyer, 82, of Alvarado, Texas will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012 at the Cleburne Seventh-day Adventist Church with Dr. Tony Torres and Pastor Harley Charles officiating
Burial will follow in Keene Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 4 – 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Nathan Bowyer, Ryan Bowyer, Justin Bowyer, Devin Bowyer, Kelsie Bowyer and Ashlie Shephenson.
Mr. Bowyer passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born in Brownsville, Texas on April 21, 1930, the son of Matilda (Weingartner) and John Henry Bowyer.
Charles served his country in the United States Army. He married Annette Lucille Luke on Nov. 6, 1955 in Edinburg, Texas. He was a member of the Cleburne Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronald Bowyer.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Bowyer of Alvarado; sons, Douglas Alan Bowyer and wife, Sherry, of Cleburne, Texas, Ronald Duane Bowyer and wife, Ginger, of Keene, and Darrell Lynn Bowyer and wife, Jackie, of Alvarado; daughter, Sheri Linda Stephenson and husband, Garye, of Keene; brothers, John H. Bowyer, Jr. and wife, Samantha, and Richard H. Bowyer , all of McAllen, Texas; grandsons, Nathan, Ryan, Justin, Devin, Hayden and Cason Bowyer; and granddaughters, Ashlie Stephenson and Kelsie Bowyer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cleburne Adventist Christian School, 111 Meadowview Drive, Cleburne, TX 76033.
