John Thomas (J.T.) Brewer, Jr.
Funeral services for John Thomas Brewer, Jr., 86, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2012 at Eastern Heights Church. The Rev. Farris Whitehead will officiate; assisted by the Rev. Stephen McCoy. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ben Hill Turner, Frank Reder, Jon Conner, John Long, Billy Clifton, and John Chambers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jon Railsback, Brent Railsback, Jarred Railsback, Marcus McCoy, Micah McCoy and Jason Buchanan.
The family will receive visitors from 3- 5 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Rosser Funeral Home.
J. T., a lifelong Cleburne resident, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was born in Rio Vista, Texas on December 11, 1925, the son of Hattie Bell (Smith) and John Thomas Brewer.
J. T. served his country in the United States Army as a Staff Sgt. during World War II. He married Mary Stout on September 29, 1956 in Cleburne.
J. T. was retired from Lockheed Martin and was a member of Eastern Heights Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary; son, Terry Brewer; three brothers and six sisters.
Mr. Brewer is survived by his daughters, Jay Lynn McCoy and husband, Stephen, of Cleburne, Christi Railsback and husband, David, of Waco, Texas, Cindy Buchanan and husband, Sherwood Voss, of Burleson, Texas, and Sharon Apala and husband, Gary, of Crowley, Texas; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
