Services for Joyce Crook Brock, 76, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Baker Lain Cemetery. The Rev. Steve Mullen will officiate. There will not be a set visitation. Serving as pallbearers will be Curtis Rives, Kenneth Rives, David Blanton, James Schell, Cody Meyer, and Tom Searcy.
Joyce went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 3, 2014 in Cleburne, Texas. She was born Dec. 15, 1937 in Cleburne, Texas to Maggie Lena Jones and John Albert Crook. Joyce married James Brock on Sept. 5, 1952 in Cleburne, Texas. She retired from Mid Continent Oil Supply Company where she was a payroll clerk and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James “Buddy” Brock; sisters, Beryl Rives, Virginia Morrow, and Willena Athans.
She is survived by her son, James Stephen Brock; daughters Deborah Meshell Lavina and Sherry Delena Martin; brother, John Carlton Crook; sisters, Norma Lou Moore and Ruby Neil Patrick; grandchildren, Katie Schell, Jodi and Melissa Martin, April Meyer; and great-grandchildren, Peyton Martin and Dallas Schell.
