Henry (H.B.) Brown, Jr.
Graveside service for Henry (H.B.) Brown, Jr., 90, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015 in Covington Cemetery. The Rev. Nathan Loewen will officiate. The family will receive visitors 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015 at Rosser Funeral Home.
H.B. passed away on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015 in Cleburne, Texas surrounded by his family. He was born Oct. 2, 1924 in Cleburne, Texas to Cynthia (Morris) and Henry B. Brown, Sr. He married Dovie Joe Scarberry on March 11, 1953 in Cleburne, Texas. H.B. worked as an inspector for the Texas Highway Department where he retired in 1981. After retiring, he then worked for Johnson County Public Works department and retired in 1987. H.B. then served as County Commissioner for two years. He was a member of Westhill Church of Christ and Good Sam’s Camping Club. He was a lifelong resident of Sand Flat.
H.B. was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dovie Joe Brown; and sister, Elizabeth Roye.
He is survived by his daughters, Debbie Thompson and husband, Larry, of Cleburne, Shelia Camp of Cleburne, and Sherry Lonon and husband, Jerry, of Euless; son, Mark Brown and wife, Melissa, of Stephenville; grandchildren, Kristi, Shea, Calen, Catie, Colt Ryan, Cheyanne, Donna, and Faith; and great-grandchildren, Daizie, Cambri, Noah, Justin, Jacob, Josh, and Carsen.
