Stephen "Steve" Wayne Bruce

Service for Stephen “Steve” Wayne Bruce, 66, of Cleburne will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Henderson Street Baptist Church. The Reverend Eddie Freeman and Reverend Neale Oliver will officiate. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh Bruce, Vincent Bradbury, Jacob Bruce, Aaron Rowlett, Chris Norris and Jason Abernathy. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Baker, Scotty Scott, Rick Briscoe, Lee Noble, Steven Bradbury, Gary Bennett, Mike Cunningham and Mike Thomas. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at Rosser Funeral Home.
Stephen “Steve” Wayne Bruce passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019 in Fort Worth. He was born July 4, 1953 in Cleburne to Evangeline (Hampton) and A.W. “Tink” Bruce. He married Suzanne Bradbury on December 8, 1990 in San Antonio, TX.
Steve worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a Yard Master. He was a member of Henderson St. Baptist Church. He loved his family, cars, telling stories and reading. He was quite a history buff and was a devout Christian. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, David Bruce and Kenny Hampton.
Survivors include his beloved wife Suzanne Bruce of Cleburne; son, Hogan Bruce of Cleburne; daughter, Gabi Rowlett and husband Aaron of Cleburne; granddaughter, Clara Rowlett; grandson on the way, Laken Bruce; brother, Kenneth Hampton, Sr. of Cleburne, sister, Angie Briscoe and husband Rick of Cleburne; sister-in-law, Lisa Bruce-Noble and husband Lee; many other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends and his faithful dog, Whiskey.
