Funeral service for Donald D. Burton, 89, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2011, in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Glover officiating. Burial will follow in Cleburne Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Burton, Wes Burton, Brad Burton, Seth Dawson, Tommy Peacock, Jerry Doughty, and Cyrus Richie.
Donald D. Burton passed away on Tuesday, November 01, 2011 in Cleburne, Texas. He was born in Cleburne on February 24, 1922, the son of Mavinee (Hamrick) and Leland Burton.
In 1944, Donald married Betty June Ross in El Dorado, Arkansas. He served his country in the United States Air Corp. He flew 25 missions and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. Don retired as a printer with Hallman Printing Supply and was a member of Field Street Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty June Burton; daughter, Sara Burton; and brothers, Edward Burton and Leland Burton, Jr.
Donald Burton is survived by his sons, Stan Burton of Cleburne; Chuck Burton and wife, Marilyn, of Keller, and Don Burton and wife, Becky, of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Molly Burton Richie, Jason Burton, Wes Burton, Brad Burton and Seth Dawson; 11 great grandchildren; and special friend, Betty Pernell.
