Oscar E. Carlock, Sr.
Funeral service for Oscar E. Carlock, Sr., 87, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. The Rev. Kody Hughes and the Rev. Steve McCoy will officiate.
The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Carlock, Matthew Carlock, William Smith, Shawn Davis, Kenneth Davis, Halston Spohn, Billy Carlock and Craig Thomas.
Oscar passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013 in Keene, Texas. He was born Dec. 24, 1925 in Cleburne, Texas to Velma (Pannell) and Herbert Carlock. Oscar served his country in the United States Army and was a retired federal officer. He was a member of Eastern Heights Church.
Oscar was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Charlene Carlock; son, Oscar Carlock, Jr. and daughter, Nancy Carlock.
He is survived by son, Charles Carlock and wife, Anita, of Lubbock, Texas; daughters, Jo Ann Smith and husband, William, of Joshua, Texas, Sherry Clark and husband, Howell, of Cleburne, and Lee Carlock of Benbrook, Texas; daughter-in-law, Connie Carlock of Cleburne; 14 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
