Graveside service for Larry Eugene Carr, 78, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, November 19, 2020 in the Watts Chapel Cemetery with Reverend Daniel So officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Larry Eugene Carr passed away Saturday, November 14, 2020 in Cleburne. He was born October 1, 1942 in Centralia, Illinois to Dorothy and Oliver Eugene Carr. He married his sweetheart, Karen Gatlin on May 30, 1981 in Fenton, Missouri.
Larry served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a self employed welder. He was also an EMT and volunteer firefighter who touched many lives. He loved Rock Tank Ranch, where he cared for his cows and horses. He also loved hunting, fishing and made everyone feel better just with his ever present smile. Larry was a member of Watts Chapel Church and was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 39 years, Karen Carr of Cleburne; son, Larry Thomas Carr of Fort Worth; daughters, Sandra McDonnell and husband, Dennis of Washington, Missouri, Janet Carr of St. Louis, Missouri, Jessica Appelbaum and husband, Michael of Ballwin, Missouri, and Kendra Bone of Cleburne; grandchildren, Alexandra Ward, Brett Weis, Andrew Weis, Danielle Kinnaird, Meaghan Kinnaird, Ben Appelbaum, Charlie Appelbaum, Sophie Appelbaum, Dawn Bone, Carla Blocker and Stephanie Blocker; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Phyllis McDonnell of Winterhaven, Florida; sisters-in-law, Kristi Stepp and husband, Michael of Fenton, Missouri and Lisa Richardson and husband, Lowell of Visalia, California; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
