Cecilia "Cissy" Chaney May Shehorn

Funeral services for Cecilia "Cissy" Chaney May Shehorn, 85, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 2, 2024 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Mike Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10-11:00 A.M. on Saturday, at the funeral home, prior to the service.

Cecilia "Cissy" Chaney May Shehorn passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024 in Keene. She was born on July 24, 1939 in Cleburne to Charles and Mildred (Waterstreet) Chaney.

Cissy was known for her passion for gardening, nurturing a stunning array of plants and flowers that reflected her vibrant spirit. Her love for antiques showcased her appreciation for history and artistry, and she was a gifted artist in her own right, creating works that inspired those around her. Cissy loved looking her best and always kept up with the latest fashion trends.

Above all, Cissy cherished her family.

She found great joy in spending time with her great-grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Bobby; second husband, Billy; and daughter, Torre.

Cissy is survived by her granddaughter, Allison Murphy and husband Seth of Newark; great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Nolan; brother, Robert Chaney of Wimberley; cousins, Debbie and Erma of Cleburne; niece, India of San Diego, California; and several other extended family and friends.
