Cheryl Wilkins

Cheryl Lynn Wilkins (Jenkins), age 61, was born 25 August 1962 in Marion, Ohio. Cheryl sadly passed away Sunday 12 November 2023. Cheryl graduated from River Valley High School, Class of 1980. She later went on to graduate, Summa Cum Laude, from Marion Technical College with and Associates Degree in Business. She worked as a bartender at the VFW for several years and later worked for GTE (Verizon) for numerous years, where she was provided the opportunity to move to Texas. Texas became her home and a place her daughters call home as well.

Cheryl was known by many names, from mom/mommy by not only her daughters but by their friends as well. She treated her daughter's friends like they were her own children and was a second mom to most, if not all. She was known as Gra by her eldest granddaughter who couldn't quite say grandma at the time. This nickname was passed down to Cheryl's other grandbabies until they eventually transition to calling her Grandma. Her siblings and friends who became family knew her as sister. Cheryl had an easy going demeanor and outlook on life which earned her the nickname, Easy. No matter the name you knew her by there was no denying she was an absolutely amazing woman with a magnetic personality that even random strangers were drawn to and would strike up conversations with her.

Cheryl loved reading, a love she passed down to her eldest daughter and eldest granddaughter. She also enjoyed baking, especially with her grandbabies, who were her biggest joy in life. Her love of music was an experience all on its own. She'd play "Guess who sang this song?" with her daughters and her grandbabies, have random singalong and dance parties, and music was always playing in her home. Her friends and family meant the world to her and any reason to have them over to just hang out, play farkle, get life advice, and just anything you need. She was always there.

Cheryl leaves behind her daughters Jesse Andrews (Andrew Smith) and Kelly Wilkins (Samantha Fincher), her grandbabies Zane, Emmarson "Babygirl", Daxton "Bubba", Jensen "Peanut", Dakota, and Katana "Doodles". Other family members include Carol Ann Sekinger, Ronda Rae Jenkins (Darrell Mccoy), Reba Jenkins, Julie Everhart (Tim Everhart), James "Shades" Beach, Michael " Buttercup" Stiers, Joe Harvey, Jaime Arsenty, Michael "Mikey" Thrasher and several other family members.

Cheryl is proceeded in death by her parents Kenyon " Kenny" Jenkins and Catherine "Cathy" Jenkins. As well as other family members: Dann Jenkins, Bryan Gates, John Oehlers, Katherine "Sis" Oehlers, David "Tennessee" Evans, Dewey "Dewman" Kaylor, Bill Arsenty, Sherry " Sherry Rox!" Anderson and several other beloved family members.
