Esther Chesnut (Tierno)
Memorial Services with visitation for Esther Chesnut will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2017 at Rosser Funeral Home in Cleburne, Texas. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
A long-time resident of the Cleburne area, Esther passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017at Community Hospice in Burleson, Texas.
She was born in 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and as a teenager; Esther was a regular on Dick Clark’s American Bandstand. She lived in Philadelphia until she married her husband of 49 years Jeff Chesnut.
They had three children, DeeDee Wiygle of Burleson, Debra Chesnut of Cleburne and Jeff Chesnut of Fort Worth, Texas; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren who she loved dearly and enjoyed spending time with.
Esther loved oldies music and playing bingo. She enjoyed gambling in Vegas and socializing with family and friends. Esther had a wonderful smile that could light up a room. She embraced her Italian heritage and also enjoyed cooking large meals for her family and friends during special occasions. Her family brought great joy to her.
She is preceded in death by her mother Josephine Mott and sister, Theresa Tierno.
She is survived by her three children; her husband, Jeff Chesnut of Cleburne; sisters, Marie Mott and Rose Mott; and brothers, Anthony Tierno, Joey and Dominic Mott, all of whom live in the Philadelphia area.
