Donald Wayne Clark, 65, of Grandview, Texas passed away at home surrounded by his family on Valentine’s Day, Sunday, February 14, 2021. He was born November 17, 1955 in Fort Worth, Texas. He attended elementary school in Fort Worth before moving to Crowley, Texas in the seventh grade. He graduated from DeVry University. In 2018 Donald retired from AT&T after 25 years of service.
Donald was bigger than life. He loved his family, his home, his friends, music, and the Stooges. He was loud and funny, and always let those around him share in his laughter. He could ruin a perfectly good song by changing up the lyrics on the fly. He would tell a story that made you laugh so hard you’d cry, but then you couldn’t wait for him to tell another. He loved the Beatles and Frank Zappa. No one loved hot sauce or air conditioning more that Donald did. He lived large, he laughed loud, and he loved big.
Donald is survived by his wife of 23 years Patricia, sons Christopher (Kristina), Joseph (Emily), stepson Aaron Allen (Courtney), mother Mary Cochran, brother Wayne Cochran (Tamie), uncle James Goodwin (Joan), grandchildren Mica Alexander, Jordan, Mason, Naomi, Willow, Maddox Allen, Noah, and Merritt Allen, and cats Applebonker and Lucy.
He was preceded in death by his sister Anita Clark, father Leroy Clark, and stepfather Phillip Cochran.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Donald’s name may be made to: Elara’s Caring Hospice Foundation, 900 Cooper Street, Jackson, MI 49202. The family appreciates the loving care provided by Elara’s Caring Hospice.
