Billie Jean Cowan Clements
Cleburne- Graveside services for Billie Jean Cowan Clements, 83, who passed away Monday, March 19, 2012 in Dallas, Texas will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012 in Rose Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Randy McLelland will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Friday, March 23, 2012 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Mrs. Clements was born October 26, 1928 in Cleburne, Texas, the daughter of W. T. and Verdie (West) Cowan.
Billie and Donald M. Clements, Sr. were married November 25, 1981.
She was retired from Millers Insurance Group in Fort Worth, Texas and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Cleburne, where she was a member of the Alter Guild.
Billie enjoyed being a member of the Texas Laureate Beta Mu Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and Twilight Garden Club. She loved playing bridge with friends and doing her needlework.
Billie was a true people person, kind and thoughtful. She loved to travel, enjoying many trips including a trip to London with her son, Scott and a trip to Philadelphia with her sister, Margaret.
Billie was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She touched so many lives and we will love and miss her forever.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Clements, Sr. in February of 2009; parents and sisters, Willie Leonard and Margaret Luck.
Billie Jean Clements is survived by her son, Scott Miller and partner, Michael Wedman, of Irvine, Calif.; brother, Ray Cowan and wife, Patricia, of Kennedale, Texas; nieces, Rosanne Nabors and husband, J. B., of Cleburne and Debbie Daniel and husband, Bobby, of Fairfield, Texas; nephew, Dr. Michael Cowan and wife, Emily, of Fort Worth; great nephews and nieces; Kyle and Keith Nabors of Cleburne, Allison Ray and husband, Derek, of Las Vegas, Nev., Natalie Brown and Kate Cowan, both of Fort Worth; great-great nephews, Presley and Rian Nabors of Grandview, Texas; step-sons, Donald Clements, Jr. and wife, Ginny and their daughter, Brooke Spear and husband, Brian, all of Durango, Colo., and Chris Clements and wife, Darla, of Alvarado, Texas.
The family wishes to thank the staff of The Forum at Park Lane, Dallas for the wonderful care given to her the past two years.
