Burleson—Funeral services for Mildred Lee Clowdus, 99, of Burleson, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2011 at the Alvarado Church of Christ with Ian Mostert officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado.
Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2011 at Rosser Funeral Home in Cleburne.
Serving as pallbearers will be Zack Clowdus, Eric Clowdus, Shane Jackson, Mark Jackson, Scott Jackson and Jackie Clowdus.
Mrs. Clowdus passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011 in Grandview, Texas. She was born in Godley, Texas on August 11, 1912, the daughter of Mattie Boyd (Hill) and John Elbert Hopkins.
She married Raymond Odell Clowdus on April 23, 1932 in Fort Worth, Texas. Mildred was a homemaker and a member of the Alvarado Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of over 52 years, Raymond Odell Clowdus; son, Laurence Clowdus; grandson, Brett Jackson; great-grandson, Tommy Ratliff; sons-in-law, Billy Jackson and Carl Laramore; three sisters and four brothers.
Mildred Clowdus is survived by her daughters, Virginia Buckingham of Burleson and Margaret Jackson Ashbrook of Alvarado; 12 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren.
