Grandview—A memorial service celebrating the life, of Edward M. Colley, 86, of Grandview, Texas will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2011 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive visitors from 1 – 2 p.m. before the service.
Mr. Colley passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, in Burleson, Texas. He was born in Willow Springs, Missouri on April 4, 1925, to Helen (Bergman) and Edward C. Colley.
Ed married Iris Fern Harris on October 14, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri. He served his country in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He retired from General Motors after more than 30 years of service. He was a Christian and a man of character.
Mr. Colley was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Fern.
He is survived by his son, Bryant Colley and wife, Kay, of Arlington; daughters, Tena Alexander of Cleburne and Karen Nelson and husband, Bruce, of Crowley; sisters, Jean Schrieber of St. Louis and Millie Harris of Port Isabel, TX; honorary nephew, Charles Raney; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
