Obituary for
James Richard Corder
Funeral services for James Richard Corder, 68, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 16, 2016 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Glover officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2016.
Mr. Corder passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born in Du Quoin, Illinois on April 28, 1947, the son of Ruth (Hau) and William E. Corder.
James grew up as an Eagle Scout. He then served his county with honor in the United States Army where he served in High Speed Morse Intercept. After his service, James devoted his time to the Boy Scouts of America working as their District Executive.
He married Sharon Lacy on Feb. 23, 1979 in Cleburne. James was a teacher with Kopperl ISD and Rio Vista High School, and was a member of Field Street Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sandra Hines.
James is survived by his wife, Sharon Corder of Cleburne; sons, Jamie R Corder and wife, Samantha, of Cleburne and Will Andrew Corder of Oklahoma City, Okla.; grandchildren, Elijah Corder and Kayetee Corder; and brother, Robert Corder and wife, Lynne, of Golden, Colo.
