Daniel Cressler

Daniel R. E. Cressler, 74, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 6 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the Cleburne Seventh Day Adventist Church at 111 Meadowview Drive. Dan passed away on June 3, 2011 in Cleburne, Texas surrounded by his loved ones. He was born May 16, 1937 in Tampa, Florida to John Daniel Cressler, II and Sue Ellen Williams Cressler. Dan was the owner of Florida’s largest independent poultry and egg farm. He was also a Realtor in Florida and worked in sales for many years. He graduated from Brandon High School in Brandon, Florida and received a degree in business administration from the Washington Missionary College in Takoma Park, Maryland. He was a member of the Cleburne Seventh Day Adventist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his children, John Daniel Cressler, III of Miami Beach, Florida, Laura Sue Cressler Brown and husband Byron Brown of Cleburne, Texas, Terry G. Cagle, Jr. of Tampa, Florida, Sheryl Kidd-Medellin and husband Tony Medellin of Longview, Texas; grandson, Caton Brown of Cleburne, Texas; his children’s mother, Ida Sue H. Kidd of Cleburne, Texas; sister-in-law, Jeane Lou Loser; and niece, Debra Barnett both of Phoenix, Arizona; his step-mother, Murray Cressler of Seffner, Florida and her children Donna Bailey and husband Frank of Seffner, Florida, Larry Martin of Tampa, Florida; and Murray’s grandchildren, Butch Bailey of Seffner, Florida, David Bailey of Tampa, Florida, and Jessica Martin both of Tampa, Florida.
He will be remembered by countless friends and family who loved him dearly and will carry with them fond memories of his life and time spent with him.
