Obituary for
Lewis Emery Daniel
Funeral services for Lewis Emery Daniel of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2016 at The Heights Church in Cleburne with the Rev. Kody Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Olguin, Trevor Daniel, Kyle Hughes, Tim Hughes, Russell Greene and Billy Wooldridge.
Lewis Emery Daniel, at the young age of 66, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday morning, September 18, 2016.
He was born to Garland Emery Daniel and Mary Lou Daniel on December 20, 1949, in Weatherford, Texas. He was the youngest of four siblings.
Lewis served his country in the Vietnam War and when he came home, he met and married the love of his life, Brenda Gossett Daniel. They settled in Mineral Wells, Texas, where he worked for Southwestern Gas and moved on to be able to open his own natural gas repair company for many years called D-Mec Services. Later, Lewis moved on to work for Exxon Mobil.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Faye Woody; and nephew, Phillip Gilley.
Lewis is survived by his wife, Brenda Daniel; daughter, Twania Olguin; son, Jason Daniel; grandchildren, Trevor Daniel, Aaron Olguin and Eddie Smith; brother, Wayne Daniel; sister, Bettye Gilley; special friend, Ben Lisby, who led Lewis to the Lord; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
