Funeral services for Delbert Joe Davidson, 76, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Mar. 1, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Rio Vista, Texas with the Rev. Neale Oliver officiating; assisted by the Rev. Paul Pinyan. Burial will follow in Rio Vista Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Mr. Davidson passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born in Big Spring, Texas on Dec. 5, 1936, the son of L. J. and Jennie Lou (Curtis) Davidson.
Delbert married Hendrica Gouwens on July 22, 1966 in Pacific Grove, Calif. Delbert was a devoted husband and father and spent a majority of his life in service to the Lord helping youth in need. He was also very active in his church and community.
Preceded in death by his parents, Delbert Davidson is survived by his wife, Hendrica, of Cleburne; daughters, Erica Davidson, Michelle Carvan, Jennifer Piercy and husband, Duane, all of Dallas, Texas, and Stephanie Rush and husband, Jeff, of Cleburne; brother, Ronnie Davidson, and wife, Julia, of Houston, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Rio Vista Youth Department, P. O. Box 40, Rio Vista, TX 76093.
