David Lee Davis, 78, of Cleburne, Texas passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020 in Cleburne. Services are now set for 1 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2020 at Cleburne Bible Church.
Mr. Davis was born November 3, 1941 to Ruby (Smith) and Edgar Lee Davis. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. He met and married Melinda Diann Jones. He was a very devoted husband and they were married for 39 years until her passing in 2019. He was also preceded in death by his parents and beloved daughter, Lisa Greene in 2007.
David was a retired construction contractor who loved spending time with his granddaughter, Evelyn. He was a member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans and was very active in his small church group at Cleburne Bible Church.
Survivors include his sons, Joshua Davis and wife, Robin of Arlington and Kenneth Lee Davis of Fort Worth; granddaughter, Evelyn Davis of Arlington; brothers, Eddie Davis and wife, Janis of Canyon and Bobby Davis of Belton, South Carolina; sister, Donna Thompson of Lubbock; and several more grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at a later date.
