Deborah Linton

Funeral services for Deborah Deann "Gamma D" Linton will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2023, at the First Baptist Church of Rio Vista with Pastor Jacky Mears officiating. Burial will follow in Rio Vista Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Nic Rutkowski Michael Brand, Jacob Strickland, Austin Strickland, Hunter Foust, and Bo Futrell.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 -8 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Rosser Funeral Home.

Gamma D passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born March 19, 1961, in Houston, Texas to John and Linda Futrell. After the family made the move to Rio Vista, Gamma attended RVISD and graduated from Rio Vista High School in 1979. She would call Rio Vista home until she left us.

Gamma D managed the family business for many years. After leaving there, she worked for Oxford House in Fort Worth where she was an advocate for recovering addicts. She would later become a caregiver in her hometown. She loved watching Broadway plays, cooking, and traveling to watch her grandchildren play sports. Gamma D was a very caring person with a big heart, she loved everyone like her very own. She was of the Baptist faith.

Gamma D was preceded in death by her daddy, John Futrell and brother, Bubba Futrell.

Survivors include her son, Tony Linton and Cathryn, of Rio Vista; mother, Linda Futrell of Cleburne; bonus mother, Carolyn Futrell of Rio Vista; grandchildren, Hunter Foust, Haila Linton, Kash Hutchison, and Kylan Linton, all of Rio Vista; great-grandchild, Finley Foust of Godley; siblings, Jay Futrell of Rio Vista, Jeff Futrell and husband, Jeremy, of Dallas, Jan Futrell of Rio Vista, Cheryl Harris and husband, Melvin, of Rio Vista, Angie Sheppard and husband, Jeff, of Joshua, Ray Cheek and wife, Lindsey, of Cleburne, Michael Coburn of Rio Vista, and Joseph Futrell of Cypress; numerous nieces and nephews, additional family members, and many friends who will miss her greatly.
