Memorial service for Lorene E. DeGroat, 92, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016 at Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. There will not be a set visitation.
Lorene passed away on Sunday, Jan.3, 2016 in Cleburne, Texas. She was born April 27, 1923 in Albert, Kansa to Marie (Wagner) and Alex Nazarenus. Lorene married Fredrick DeGroat in 1943. She was a homemaker and a member to the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Cleburne.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Oliver and Harold Nazarenus.
She is survived by her sons, Dennis DeGroat Ashly of Ojai, California, James DeGroat and wife, Julie, of Cleburne; grandchildren, Jessie, Kelly, Philip, Denicia, Mandy, and Tiffani; and 16 great-grandchildren.
