Charles E. Denton
Fort Worth, TX—Masonic rites for Charles E. Denton, 86, of Fort Worth, Texas will be conducted during graveside services at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Derden Cemetery near Rio Vista, Texas.
There is no visitation scheduled.
Mr. Denton passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 in Cleburne, Texas. He was born in Inglewood, Calif. on March 3, 1928, the son of Julia (Thrilkill) and Jesse Denton.
Charles married Mary Edith Walker. She preceded him in death in January of 2003.
He served his country in the United States Army and was a member of Masonic Southside Lodge #1114 in Fort Worth. Charles was retired from the Texas State Highway Department.
In addition to his wife, Charles was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and three brothers.
He is survived by his son, Joe Denton and daughter, Julia Denton, both of Cleburne; nieces, Paula Hudson, Diane Earlywine, and Phyllis Skidmore; great-nieces, Lia Hilbig and Lori Hudson; great-nephew, Kevin Earlywine; brother-in-law, Paul Livingston and wife, Kay; and many other relatives and friends.
