Memorial services for Daniel Ecord, 76, of Alvarado, Texas will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the Keene SDA Church with Pastors James Winegardner and Terry Darnell officiating.
Dan passed away peacefully on Monday, December 7, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born August 8, 1944 in Wichita, Kansas to Wallace and Marjorie (Ross) Ecord.
Dan was a retired police officer and member of Cross Roads SDA Church. He had too many interests to list but the most loved were traveling, photography and anything electronic. Dan was a wonderful husband and father.
A special gratitude goes to his two loving daughters in law, Jessica and Shawna who cared for him tirelessly during his last days with us.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jeanette; son, Daniel; and parents, Marjorie Ecord and Wallace Ecord.
Dan is survived by his wife of 26 years, Betty Ecord; son, Matthew and wife, Jessica; Matthew's mother, Barbara Ecord; brother, Tim Ecord and wife, Lynette; granddaughters, Hayley Jones and husband, Ceigan, Kyndall Ecord, and Felicity Ecord; two great grandchildren, Oaklyn and Linden; nephews, Brandon and Bradley Ecord; step sons, Danny Collins and wife, Shawna, Michael Collins, and Cody Collins; several step grandchildren; and a host of friends.
