Elsie Long

Elsie Louise Warren Aldridge Long passed from this life into the loving arms of Jesus on Friday, August 9, 2024, in Grandview, Texas. Born in Winfield, Kansas to Carl and Gladys (Firebaugh) Warren on October 30, 1931, she was 92 years of age.

Elsie and husband of 23 years, Tom Long, moved to Texas to be with family after their home in Barnsdall, Oklahoma, was destroyed by a tornado May 6, 2024.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Gladys Warren, brother Carl Marvin Warren, husband Lee Roy Aldridge, and step-grandson Mark Aldridge. Elsie will be missed by husband Tom Long, a large extended family of five generations including step-granddaughter Ashley Henley and Corbin, their children, Aubree and Ross; stepdaughter Joyce Collins, stepson Tommie Long and daughter-in-law Mary. Elsie was "GG" to Tammy and Tim Spears, James "Joe" Funk, Shari and Jason East, Kellie McDougald, and Kevin and Michelle Long; their children, Hannah Lay, Chase Hannah, Dakota Sonsel, Danielle Spears, Zoey Schiebout, Amie Webb, Tristan Peña, Elizabeth and Jason Dault, Drew Witthuhn, Max Long, Larisa Rivera, Bryanna Etter, Seth East, Wyatt East; great-great grandchildren Jacob Foster, Jaden Foster, Tori Chadwell, Raven Sonsel, Jordan Sonsel, Levi Ferguson, Harper Hannah, Raelynn Smith, and Jacob Delgado. Elsie had numerous cousins, nieces and nephews that she was especially close to.

For Texas family and friends, a memorial and luncheon will be held Saturday, August 17, from 12-3 pm at Three Nails Church, 2412 FM 2135, Cleburne Texas. 

For Oklahoma family and friends, a memorial celebrating the life and times of Elsie Long will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Lighthouse Family Worship Center, 13749 SH-11 Barnsdale, Oklahoma 74002
